Piano, guitar, ukulele and singing for adults and teenagers. Playing an instrument is a skill, like driving a car or a sailing licence: you learn it once and it stays with you for life. We start from songs you already know, with no scales and no exams.
If you live in Białystok or anywhere in Poland and you would rather learn music in English, this is for you.
People who moved here for work or family and want something of their own: an instrument, an evening skill, a way to meet people.
Medical and Erasmus students who want a break from studying and a real skill to take home after graduation.
Never played, or gave up as a child. We begin with one song you love and build from there.
Lessons over video work well. I have taught piano and guitar to people I have never met in person.
Nineteen years of lessons taught me that most people do not need more talent. They need someone to show them that they are capable, and then to get out of the way.
Music is learned the way reading, driving or swimming is learned. If instruments simply stood in every living room, everyone would play.
I never touch students during a lesson, and I do not need to. Demonstrating is enough. It also means online lessons lose nothing.
My job is to create the conditions in which you teach yourself, and to keep the next step small enough to take.
We work intensively towards a goal you name, so you walk away with something complete, rather than paying for lessons forever.

One lesson lasts 50 minutes. Payment by bank transfer or BLIK; invoices available on request.
Not sure which instrument fits you? Write to me and we will work it out before you spend anything on gear.
I am a musician and multi-instrumentalist based in Białystok, Poland. I have been teaching since 2008 and have played over 500 concerts and public performances, including in hospitals, hospices and schools. I am the author of a book about music in care institutions, hold a diploma in art therapy, work as a court-certified mediator and hold an MSc in engineering.
I speak English and Polish, and I am comfortable teaching entirely in English.
Almost everyone who says this turns out to have a perfectly good ear. Within the first meeting I can usually show you that you hear far more than you think.
Adults tend to learn faster than children, because they know why they are doing it and can practise deliberately. Most of my students started as adults.
For lessons in Białystok you can use mine at the start. For online lessons I will help you pick something reasonable before you buy, so you do not overspend.
A simple song with a few chords is realistic within the first few meetings. It will not be a concert, but it will be recognisable music.
Yes. I have taught piano and guitar to people I have never met in person. You see my hands, I see yours, and between lessons you can send me short recordings for correction.
Yes, the whole lesson and all materials. If you are also learning Polish, we can mix the two.
Tell me what you would like to play and where you are starting from. I will reply with a suggested first step, and we can book a first meeting from there.
